Long-Term Goals
- Our events are designed to be accessible so that those who have little or no knowledge, as well as those who have studied the discipline are able to attend and benefit from events. Our main event is the Annual Medical Law Debate, which is open to any student from any discipline. We encourage those who have limited experience in debating to apply as we aim to provide a more inclusive academic session where everyone can participate.
- A primary aim is increasing membership. We are open to all students and are working on increasing membership from other disciplines such a medicine. We intend to do this through attending both freshers fairs, and our Representatives raising awareness about our society and our events. We will also continue to invite professionals from an array of healthcare careers to keep events beneficial and attractive.
- We also aim to continue increasing our social media presence. We have achieved this by electing a committee member specifically for this task and working alongside other groups, to increase our online presence.
- By the end of the year, we hope to add a new committee role, specifically from a non-law discipline, such as a Medicine rep. We also hope to become an established part of the law school by maintaining good working relationships with the academic staff.
